Using Default Values
In order to reduce the time required for entering data, IPSE allows you to use default values for all data. These default values are taken from the default value database that the model library author has configured using IPSEpro’s Model Development Kit (MDK). There you can define default values for variables (values and limits), parameters, tables and switches.
Most variables are configured so that IPSE uses default values for variables only as estimates. However, it is also possible to configure variables in MDK so that they are set whenever default values are loaded.
Loading Default Values
When you create a new object and it does not contain any predefined values for the data items, you must explicitly load the default values for the object. You can load default values either for a selected object or for all objects of a project if no object is selected.

- To load default values:

Select CTRL+L
. Alternatively you can also load default values via -
This opens the window shown in Figure 1 asking you to proceed by overwriting or keeping existing values.
